Jacqueline Saldana was born on September 25, 1954 to Rosie B. Parker-Payton and the late James A. Parker, Sr.; she was the step-daughter of the late James Truman Payton. She departed this life on Friday, September 30, 2016 at her home in Staten Island.
At the age of seven, Jackie (as she was known), her immediate family moved to Somerville, Tennessee for a period of one year to live with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ike Springfield.

Jacqueline Saldana was born on September 25, 1954 to Rosie B. Parker-Payton and the late James A. Parker, Sr.; she was the step-daughter of the late James Truman Payton. She departed this life on Friday, September 30, 2016 at her home in Staten Island.
At the age of seven, Jackie (as she was known), her immediate family moved to Somerville, Tennessee for a period of one year to live with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ike Springfield.
Upon returning to New York before moving to Detroit, Michigan, she attended and graduated from Keating Elementary and Andrew Jackson Junior High School.
In February, 1969, her immediate family returned to New York. She attended and graduated from Andrew Jackson High School. While in high school, she was part of a co-op program through which she got her first job with Equitable Life Assurance Society of America. She worked there from February of 1972 through March of 1980.
After leaving Equitable Life, she worked for AG Becker from October of 1980 through January of 1983, Shearson American Express from April of 1983 through June of 1984, Rodney Pace Inc. from June of 1984 through February of 1985, Smith Barney from March of 1985 through April of 1989, and Shearson Lehman Hutton form April of 1989 through December of 1992. Upon her death Jacqueline worked for Paine Webber.
In November of 1971, Jackie and Calvin (Skeete) Kenner gave birth to a son, Anthony D. Kenner. In 1975, Jackie met William Saldana, from this union Sheron was born. They married and moved to Staten Island.
She leaves to mourn her, two sons Anthony Kenner (Rachael) and Sheron Saldana (Patrine); her mother Rosie; two brothers, Randy and Jeffrey; three sisters, Barbara Ann, Beatrice and Tammie;two sisters-in-law Belinda and Barbara; four grandchildren, Felicha, Christopher, Philjon and Nevaeh; three great grandchildren, Khaliah, Kioni and Brooklyn; as well as six nephews and seven nieces.
Jacqueline is predeceased by a brother, James A. Parker, Jr.
